By putting in a lower amp fuse?

Is this how electricity works? Or did something else just fix itself.

Something else fixed itself. A lower amperage fuse would just be easier to blow, it would have no other effects.

Maybe you somehow managed to tighten up a loose connection when you pushed the new fuse into place, perhaps on the back of the fuse block or something?

Is this the circuit that contained the power draw?
